Christmas is a time of year that brings back the best memories of when I was a child and makes me feel that life has magic and purpose. I will never forget the special of the day of birth, the novenas, the carols, the gifts, the food, the family. One of the most special moments was when we were building the birth, or manger, where all our creativity was reflected in unusual landscapes inhabited by fabled characters and of course, the child god. Also Santa Claus was part of the favorite characters and between one and the other, our parties were unforgettable each year.
That fascination with Christmas does not go out of fashion and today I see it in my two little ones who also marvel at the figures of the Christmas scene. All the characters are present and for them, as you should be for all of us, they represent the union of cultures, races and brotherhood. Santa Claus visits the baby Jesus and brings him a gift in his sleigh.
The designer Todd Myers has created, for the house NAMBE, this Christmas the decorative set THE SLED OF SANTA which is nothing more than a stylized vision of what this time of year means to him. The set, made of shiny aluminum, crystal and acacia wood, consists of a figure of Santa, his bag of gifts, two reindeer and a sleigh.
Santa measures 9.5 inches tall by 2.5 wide, the gifts bag measures 4.75 inches tall, each reindeer has 9.5 inches high and 4 inches wide, and the sleigh is 3.25 inches tall and 11.75 long. More information on the Website www.nambe.com
