Sometimes Modern Art projects reveal ideas that we can not only admire in a gallery, but we can also apply to our homes, as long as we dare. It is the case of these stairs meticulously decorated with strips of colored vinyl made by Jim Lambie.
This Scottish artist is known for using vinyl as a basic element for his designs, especially applied to the floor. This striped staircase belongs to a project called ZOBOP! that is on the ground and in stair sections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York (Moma) and that was made on the occasion of the exhibition Color Chart: reinventing colors, 1950 today. UAuthentic luxury for the eyes. Other galleries of Moderns such as Tate Britain have also hosted this artist's project, which with its initiatives manages to give a different aspect to any room.
In the following video you can see the assembly process of the Moma project, a titanic work of the entire Lambie team.
The white walls contrast with the psychedelic colors of the floor. Who dares?
