Rio de Janeiro he faces this Christmas knowing that 2016 will be an Olympic city and that's why he wanted to celebrate it and demonstrate his organizational and logistical capacity by erecting a mega-Christmas tree in the capital. 85 meters high make it the largest floating tree in the world. Like other years, it is installed in the Rodrigo de Freitas lagoon.

It has 85 meters in height and 520 tons in weight and is already recognized by the Guinness Book of Records as the largest of its kind in the world.

The design of the project began last February and in October the first pieces of a structure recognized as "a true engineering work" were installed, explained the head of the assembly, the engineer Nelson Drucker. In total, 1.200 people participate in a process.
