Maria Vang is a young Swedish designer who has designed furniture for children going beyond design. The product is called Skruvad ("Screw" in Swedish, "screw" in English) and it is a set of table and chairs for the very peculiar kids.
The legs and bars that emerge from it have the surface contoured as the body of a nail, so that then the pieces we see in the images (the balls and squares) can be fitted. It also contains a chair with an abacus as a backrest.
All this as you see in addition to furniture, also serves children as a game and means of learning. Vang seeks to enhance the physical and motor skills of children through its use. A great idea since we not only invest in decoration, but also in the middle of fun and learning for our children.
