Some say that it is a consequence of climate change, others are not entirely clear, but what is certain is that we live in a time when natural disasters are becoming more frequent. These are situations in which all aid is scarce and all kinds of resources are necessary to provide assistance to victims.
It is in this line where it is located PowerMod, a new invention based on application of solar panels to a tent so that, in addition to offering shelter, it provides solar energy.
Created by thin cells of Ascent Solar integrated in fabrics of FTL Solar, this tent produces 4,5 kilowatts per hour and day, something that supposes electricity to have in operation lights, fans, mobile phones, laptops, air conditioning and batteries.
PowerMod is designed to save resources since it would avoid the use of fuel, something that, in addition, would suppose to avoid the risk of leakage and the noise of the generators.
The shop weighs less than 75 kilos and, between two people, it is mounted in 15 minutes.
