Girona is a city in the north of Catalonia that is the capital of the homonymous province and the region of Gironés. It is one of the Spanish provinces that borders the Pyrenees.
Geographically they are crossed by the Ter, Güell, Galligans and Oñar rivers and they are located at 75 m above sea level. Its origin goes back to the Iberian settlements of the indigetes tribe and later, with the new settlement was called Gerona, from the Latin Gerunda. Its current population, according to the 2008 census, is of 94.484 inhabitants.
Among its historical heritage we must highlight the Old Town, the Houses of Oñar, the Jewish quarter, the Cathedral of Girona, the Arab Baths, the Rambla de la Libertad or the Bridge over the River Oñar.
In the capital we can find a Zara Home, the only one in the province.
